Nyx is a Discord application operated by its creator (“we”). This policy describes what data Nyx processes when she is added to a Discord server, why, and how you can remove it.
1. What we store
Stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure). Nothing below is collected from servers Nyx has not been added to.
| Data | Why | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Server ID, tier, and feature settings | Making features work per server | Per server |
| Moderation cases — user ID, moderator ID, action, reason, timestamp | The moderation ledger server staff rely on | Per server |
| XP (“essence”), levels, and coin balances | The leveling and economy systems | Per server member |
| Linked game accounts — Riot ID, Steam ID, and similar tags you submit | Showing your rank and match results, and letting friends find you | Per member, only if you run /link |
| Match results fetched from Riot Games | The match recap cards posted after a game | Per member, only if you linked a Riot account |
| Play sessions — the game name and how long it was played | The game activity feed | Per member, only where a server enables the feed |
| Your chosen city, as a name and coordinates | The daily weather forecast | Per user, only if you set a location |
| Your birthday, as a day and month | Birthday announcements | Per user, only if you set one |
| Crosshair codes you share | The crosshair archive | Per server, only what you post |
| Temporary voice channel records | Cleaning up rooms after you leave | Transient |
| Music listening history - track title, artist, album, and duration | Generating your server listening stats and music recaps | Per member, only when listening via Nyx music playback |
| Custom saved playlists | Saving your personal track playlists for playback across servers | Per user, only if you create playlists |
| Private-room journal answers | Keeping an answer hidden until every host of the room has written, then posting them together | Per host, deleted from storage the moment the answers are revealed |
| Private-room notes | Keeping the notes, to-dos and reminders you write to Nyx in a private Notes thread, and reminding you at the time you asked | Per user, only if you write in such a thread; kept until you mark them done, ask Nyx to forget them, or run /forget-me |
| Staff moderation notes | Internal server staff records regarding rule enforcement | Per server member, set by moderators |
| Discord username and avatar hash | Displaying leaderboards and user profile cards | Per server member |
We do not store message content. Messages are read in memory to award XP, apply the moderation filters a server has switched on, and answer you when you talk to Nyx directly — then discarded. Nothing is written to a log or a database.
2. Discord presence
Nyx requests the Guild Presences intent. Where a server has enabled the game activity feed or go-live alerts, this lets her see what game a member is playing and whether they are streaming — the same status any other member of that server can already see on your profile.
- Presence is read live and is not retained beyond the session summary described above.
- It is used only to post activity cards and stream alerts in that server.
- A server admin can switch both features off, and a server that never enables them causes nothing to be stored.
- Setting your Discord activity status to invisible or disabling activity sharing stops it entirely, from your side.
3. AI processing
When you mention @Nyx or use /oracle, the text of that message — along with a few recent messages for conversational context — is sent to Anthropic to generate the reply. Anthropic acts as a processor under its own terms.
- Your messages are not used to train models.
- Nyx sends nothing to the AI except when you directly invoke her.
- AI usage is metered per server, and the counter stores totals, never text.
4. What we never collect
- Message logs or message history.
- Voice audio. Nyx joins voice channels to play music and never records.
- Email addresses or real-world identity.
- Payment details — Discord processes all premium payments and we never see them.
- Anything at all from servers Nyx is not in.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
- Run /forget-me in any server with Nyx. Your XP, coins, linked game accounts, saved city, birthday, stored match results, music listening history, saved playlists, pending reminders, private-room notes and unrevealed journal answers are deleted immediately, across every server.
- Moderation records are kept even then. They exist so a server can be protected from someone who leaves and returns, and letting the subject erase them would defeat the point.
- When Nyx is removed from a server, that server's configuration is retired and becomes eligible for deletion after 30 days.
- You can also ask us to delete your data directly, using the contact below.
6. Who else sees it
We sell nothing and share nothing. Beyond that, data passes only through the providers that make the service work: Anthropic for the AI replies described above, Riot Games for match lookups you opted into, Supabase and AWS for the database, and Discord itself. Each acts as a processor under its own terms.
7. Age
Nyx follows Discord's Terms of Service: no users under 13, or the higher minimum age set by your country.
8. Changes
Material changes are announced in the Nyx support server and take effect 7 days after posting. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
